The Musée de la gare is a cultural hub that disseminates, preserves and revives the tangible and intangible heritage of the Town of Temiscaming..
Based on the principles of participatory museology and using cultural activity as a mediation tool, the Museum's activities aim to make known the depth and richness of its history, to encourage its appropriation by the local population and to ensure its transmission to future generations.
Located on the Ontario border, the Musée de la Gare is the only cultural and museum institution in the Town of Temiscaming, but also within a 50 kilometers radius.
The institution is housed in the old Temiscaming train station, a classified jewel of Quebec's railway history, built in 1927 and restored in 1996.
This year, we are pleased to offer you a completely free membership. This initiative aims to strengthen our community, ensure the sustainability of our cultural activities, and bring together as many people as possible around our museum.
